A deathbed promise.

Arlyn’s quest is simple: Find her father and let him know her mother is dead. After all, Arlyn had promised her mother she’d go. The problem? Her father’s people are myths and legends, and he doesn’t even live on Earth. But despite a long journey through the mysterious mists of the Veil, finding him turns out to be the easy part.

So when he stumbles across Arlyn after returning from his latest mission and recognizes her as his mate, Kai starts their bond in haste. But he never could have imagined that his bonded is his best friend’s newfound daughter. Whoops.

A hidden conspiracy sparked to life. Though the sight of Kai makes Arlyn’s heart pound, she isn’t sure she can forgive him for starting their bond without her permission. But her love life is the least of her problems. Her father is an elf lord, and his sudden acknowledgment of a half-human heir reignites the same conspiracy that took him away from her mother in the first place. Now Arlyn and her family must face iron wielding assassins, bigotry, and her newly awakened magical abilities if they hope to come through in one piece.

Arlyn thought she would return to Earth after meeting her father. Now she must fight to save the family she never knew she wanted.”

Buy Phentermine In Singapore Soulbound by Bethany Adams intrigued me because she took a girl from the modern would and dropped her into a fantasy one. The main character, Arlyn, doesn’t show any hesitation when she  went to this new realm, which kind of surprised me. Because if my mom during her chemo was like, oh by the way your dad is an elf, I’d blame it on the drugs she was taking. It’s an interesting world Adams built, but this book left me wanting. It has pretty good reviews on Amazon, so I was assuming that I’d like it. But it just okay. There wasn’t anything spectacular about it. Like Kai seems a little too emotional. And Arlyn has a huge chip on her shoulder. Her dad seemed a lot younger than his 500 years. Also, I wish she hadn’t given away the villian. I think she could have trusted her readers and given more hidden clues, instead of basically telling you who the bad guy is. Again, Soulbound by Bethany Adams was okay. If you’re looking for a light read go ahead and read this.FYI there is some light swearing an one sort of sexual scene (it’s not graphic at all). (3 / 5)
